In a bizarre collaboration that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The adventure centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana together with numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
